How can I recycle my old computer components?
Am I allowed to throw something like a motherboard or CPU in the trash? Are there recycling centers that would take it for free, or is it easier to sell it dirt-cheap on eBay? Basically, if I upgrade some components in my computer, what do I do with the old parts?

Any electronic device is now considered Hazardous Waste and cost money to dispose of. It is better to try to sell the parts. If you get caught throwing them away in the normal trash, you could be fined large amounts of money. There should be recycle centers that take electronic components, some will even pay you for them, but not very much money.
