Make all your decorations edible. Play dough and use cookie cutters for x mas shapes. Buy a christmas tree at Lowe’s then plant it when you are finished. Don’t buy any extras only buy what will be used or reused.

I have been looking into ways of helping to protect the environment and i have noticed that there are very few footwear businesses, which can provide either recycled or eco friendly shoes. Do you know of any websites or shop names that i could research? Also is anyone interested in eco friendly shoes? Would you be willing to pay more for this type of product if you knew you were helping to save the environment? All answers are appreciated, i look forward to your answers.

I love eco jewelry too. The website Etsy.com has lots of really interesting jewelry handmade by users for sell. I found a really cool ring there made from a recycled game board piece. If you want something more traditional Urban Ecologie has a few really nice pendant necklaces and chokers.

San Francisco. It’s residents walk and take public transit more than anywhere in CA, they don’t use energy on heating or cooling, and they pass the most aggressive environmental laws.

SF or NYC is the most eco-friendly city in the US, depending on how you measure it. NYC residents drive far less, but SF residents are greener in every other aspect.

I’m deciding whether I should spend an extra twenty bucks on Eco friendly web hosting. but I’m not really sure if I’ll seriously make a difference. I think its just a way to get money. Is it?

I live in Montgomery County, MD. I have a couple of working old computers 2GB hard drive, 256 MD RAM etc (obselete now), and bulky monitors. I read an article a few month ago in a running magazine about the enormous waste present in current shoe manufacturing. especially after cutting the plastic/foam pieces to shape. Brooks just recently came out with a line of shoes that has a biodegradable midsole. It is called Biomogo midsole. It is currently available in the Brooks Trance 8 running shoe. I am not certain of what is available in your area, but these sites have been a great assets to a few brides I know who wanted “green” weddings.

As for a venue, you might want to consider a local park or hiking area that you could have your ceremony. Talk to your local government office to see what they have available. Nothing like be a part of nature for a “green” wedding!

For the reception, speak to local caterers that deal with organic, local cuisine. They might have suggestions for you as far as locations to have your reception.

Instead of having a DJ or band that plugs in music, consider finding a band that is all accoustic. A wedding that I went to had family members playing and one did a beautiful rendition of a wedding song on an accordion.

we use the recycled newspaper litter, l just have a small hole way down the back yard, throw it in there with some water and it all desintegrates fairly quickly and doesnt smell
